LOCATION AND SERVICES
The cottage is located just 2 kms from the centre of Ruka which can be walked to in less than 30 minutes. The nearest shops are approximately 500 meters from the cottage – here you can by food and other provisions. There is also a pharmacy within the same group of shops. The Skibus drives from these local shops to the ski center.
During the Winter, the most popular activities are downhill skiing, cross country skiing and driving snowmobiles. All of these are available close to the cottage.
In the Summer, you can hike (Karhunkierros, a very famous hiking tour starts there) and visit the famous rapids and rivers or Oulanka national park, all of which are in the vicinity of Ruka . Additionally, Summer sledging, fishing and hunting are available around Ruka. The nearest 18 hole golf course is only couple of kilometers from the cottage. Kuusamo spa is 22 kilometers away. The nearest swimming available is the beautiful clear and tranquil Kesäjärvi lake alongside the cottage.
You can order ready made breakfast, lunch or dinner to be delivered to the cottage – or if you prefer, you can also have all cooking prepared for you within the cottage.
Pets are not allowed in this cottage.
